Where code
meets community
at PDUAM
What we stand for
We give CS students at PDUAM a place to go deeper than the syllabus — through peer learning, real projects, and a community that shows up for each other.
The CSSA has grown into the hub for Computer Science life at PDUAM — a space where coursework turns into curiosity, and curiosity turns into projects worth showing off. Members organise workshops, coding contests, and talks that connect classroom fundamentals to the tools the industry actually uses.
From first-year orientation to final-year placement prep, CSSA stays involved throughout the CS journey — building a department that supports its students long after they graduate.
Our Objectives
Foster Community
Build a strong, welcoming community for CS students across every semester at PDUAM.
Grow Technical Skills
Run workshops, hackathons, and peer-learning sessions that go beyond the syllabus.
Bridge Curriculum & Industry
Connect classroom learning with the tools, projects, and skills the industry expects.
Support New Students
Mentor first-year students through orientation, study groups, and course guidance.
Celebrate Achievement
Showcase projects, research, and contributions from students across the department.
Strengthen the Network
Keep alumni, faculty, and current students connected long after graduation.
2025–26 CSSA Leadership
A lifelong network,
rooted in the department
From orientation week to long after graduation, CSSA stays with you — a community that opens doors, shares knowledge, and grows because connection doesn't end with a degree.
Upcoming Events
From workshops to hackathons, our calendar is packed with moments to learn, build, and connect. There's always something happening in the CSSA community.
A hands-on coding workshop helping students master version control concepts, branching workflows, pull requests, and collaborative repository management on GitHub.
Our premier programming tournament testing data structures, search algorithms, and logical coding speed across multiple difficulty tiers. Winners will be awarded department certificates.
An interactive panel inviting system developers and tech alumni to discuss career preparation, interview patterns, and fields like database administration, network engineering, and frontend design.
Everything we do
Everything we do falls into three focus areas: sharpening skills, building community, and preparing every member for what comes after PDUAM.
Campus rooted, industry connected
From Amjonga to the wider tech world, CSSA is shaping how PDUAM's Computer Science students learn, build, and launch their careers. Our network spans open source, software development, research, and entrepreneurship — powered by students who lead with curiosity.
We're bound by more than a department — we're bound by a shared commitment to building skills that travel. For every student who comes next, CSSA is a launchpad, a community, and a habit worth keeping.
